In 1955, Alfred Hitchcock filmed his masterpiece To Catch a Thief here, starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Now, the legendary Château de La Croix des Gardes on the French Riviera is once again in the spotlight — this time as the exclusive venue where real estate strategist Ignace Meuwissen will welcome his private guests during MIPIM 2025, the world’s most prestigious real estate fair in Cannes.

For three days, Meuwissen will open the château’s gates for an invite-only private tour, marking the first time this mythical property reveals its interiors to the outside world. The event, already whispered about as the most expensive private gathering in MIPIM history, underscores Meuwissen’s position as one of the most influential figures in ultra-luxury real estate.

Never-before-seen photographs will unveil the château’s interiors — kept strictly confidential until now. Though its rental price is never officially disclosed, insiders suggest it approaches €1 million per week, a reflection of its unrivaled exclusivity and grandeur. With 16 suites, 3,868 m² of living space, 40 staff, and gardens fit for 2,000 guests, Château de La Croix des Gardes offers a level of discretion few can match. As part of the three-day program, Meuwissen will host a private masterclass on safehouses and the world’s most valuable off-market estates — a rare glimpse into a realm normally reserved for the ultra-wealthy.
